Somerford National Championships

Somerford Park is such a great venue for the Summer National Championships.  It's always feels an accomplishment to qualify for these finals competing with the best in the country, especially in the Gold sections.

Apollo in the Inter 1 showing no signs of his age, felt so well in the run up to the championship. Living in a herd does mean you can pick up the odd war wound and on the Wednesday before he came in with a bite mark on his side, I think in hindsight he felt it a bit more than he let on as a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes in the flying changes were expensive but he was full of energy and we had a great time getting just shy of 65%.

So maybe not the result we had hoped for but I'm really proud of Apollo and how he has developed and finished the summer season.
