National Development For Coaching Excellence Course

Over the winter months Nick Lawson has been busy participating in the National Development Course For Coaching Excellence, funded by the British Equestrian Federation and organised by British Dressage.

Nick was lucky enough to take a horse each time to help with the coaching sessions which was a perfect opportunity to further cement his relationships with some of the younger horses on Corvedale Equestrian’s team.

Thoughts from Nick about the course….

“The course has been fundamental in outlining how important it is to care for ourselves as coaches so we can be the best versions of our selves we can possibly be. Providing us with so many tools, delivered by industry professionals to be able to work on those intra personal skills required to be a great coach. This year’s cohort were a fantastic group of people who all had something to share and offer, it was so great getting to know them all and to be able to share our experiences with one another. We all learnt the importance of inclusivity in what can be such an insular sport. Such a great course to be part of and if anyone gets the opportunity to be a part of it, grab it with both hands, you wont regret it!”
